SEIDOR wins 5 awards at the SAP Partner Summit 2023
It was an award-winning SAP Partner Summit for the SEIDOR team in Austria. We were thrilled with the success and recognition of our growth at the event in Vienna as SEIDOR UK took home a series of major awards.
As one of the most dedicated and skilled Platinum Partners within the SAP ecosystem today, the team were presented with awards for:
- SAP Business One Outstanding Performance Award 2022 – EMEA North
- SAP Business One Net New Name Award 2022 – EMEA North
- SAP Business One Outstanding Performance Award 2022 – UKI
- SAP Business One Net New Name Award 2022 – UKI
- Boyum IT Top Performing Partner – UKI
There were also similar awards for our colleagues across the SEIDOR group in Spain, South Africa and MENA. A huge congratulations to everybody who were recognised for their dedication and excellence in delivering award-winning services in 2022.
Summit Anniversary
The event marked the tenth anniversary of the Partner Summits, which began back in 2013 in Bratislava. Following similar summits in Bangkok and Panama earlier this year, there were more than 900 attendees present as Guillermo ‘Willy’ Brinkmann, Global Head Public Cloud, kicked off the event. He outlined the accelerated growth across the channel with more than 4,000 SAP Business One go-lives in 2022.
Brinkmann dispelled some long-standing myths around SAP and confirmed that 80% of its customers remain small or medium-sized enterprises. “SAP is not for large companies, it’s for great companies,” he told the conference.
Oliver Bahner, SVP, Head of Midmarket & Eco-system Success, began by emphasising how ERP is still the heartbeat of every growing company and how new innovations will fundamentally change business. He outlined SAP’s vision for SAP Business One as their primary solution for the SME market.
SAP Business One Product Management Lead, Peter Dominik, was next on stage with an update on Business One. The solution remains SAP best-selling ERP solution by customers. There are more than 75,000 SMEs that run B1 with more than 1,200,000 daily users.
There is a current focus on the development of improving security features and making the core more stable to avoid unwanted cyber-attacks. SAP Business One solution expert Ari Schapria came on stage to demo some of the new features in the web client, such as special line types on sales quotations, opening and closing remotes on quotes; and the ability to drill-down into BOM relationship maps.
Clear Business Plan
On the second day of the Summit, delegates were given an inspirational speech from Marie ‘Lootie’ Leauty, who is the fastest woman to run around the world. Lootie ran a marathon a day for six days per week and travelled 28,249KM across the globe.
She discussed how she used her background in business to plan her trip and to create a mission statement to help assist her journey. Just like in business, she had to overcome unexpected challenges along the way when Covid restrictions altered her plans and progress.
But with the pillars of success in place: a clear direction; planning; focus; and creativity, she was able to achieve her goal and set a new world record.
SAP’s Joost Tigerlaar joined Paulo Almedia on stage next for a fireside chat and he discussed his excitement for the future of SAP Business One and the innovation planned by SAP.
“Innovation is what makes you speak a different language to your competitors,” Joost said
Next on stage was Rainer Zenow, Senior Vice President, Product Management SME Solutions. Rainer emphasised the importance of upgrading SAP Business One to the latest version to have the latest security features within your solution.
Rainer outlined how investment will be provided by SAP to further improve the core of the system and also the user experience within the web client. To wrap his presentation up, Rainer also gave a glimpse into some of the new functionality within B1 roadmap, including new tools to help process the digital Euro, set for introduction in 2026, and the new SAP Digital Currency Hub, to help simplify payments and reduce costs.
It was great to catch up with so many colleagues across the SEIDOR group and partners from SAP and the wider eco-system in Vienna. Once again, a huge thanks to SAP for recognising our commitment to delivering innovative solutions and exception customer service.
