Organisations are paying increasingly greater attention to facility maintenance processes in order to minimise disruption to production processes due to breakdowns or scheduled interventions. The focus may be our own assets or customer-owned equipment or facilities. Resource planning (internal or external), cost control and mobilisation of information to provide speed and security in interventions are 'focus' aspects. In addition to corrective or preventive actions, the IoT enables progress in asset monitoring and predictive maintenance.
In terms of maintenance, we use the core functionality of the ERP's PM module as a starting point. This functionality is often sufficient to cover all the needs of companies, achieving integration with the company's departments.
Similarly, in customer service, the starting point is the ERP's CS module, which leverages the PM functionality and adds the necessary sales flows for the billing of services, both with regard to in-house repairs and services provided in the field.
Extension of Maintenance functionalities

SAP IAM (Intelligent Asset Management) is a modular suite that completes and extends the ERP with the following functionalities:
Asset Central Foundation
It is the general repository of assets that acts as a shared base for the rest of the modules. 360º view of the asset.
Asset Intelligent Network
It enables collaboration with partners involved with the asset to share information such as manufacturers, users and installers.
Asset Strategy and Performance Management
It focuses on the management of risks associated with equipment by enabling the management of its Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
Predictive Asset Insights
It collects and monitors asset data based on sensor modelling, IoT, and applies Artificial Intelligence algorithms to perform predictive maintenance.
To optimise maintenance, it is necessary to endow it with mobility and have all the information available anywhere and be able to report its activity. To cover this need we implement the SAP Asset Manager, included in the SAP IAM suite, or our own SEIDOR PM Mobile product.
SAP FSM (Field Service management) is the solution specialised in the management of field operations. It includes the planning of technicians and equipment or vehicles, thus optimising and increasing the number of operations or parts. Mobility allows immediate access to information and reporting activities or checklists on usage.
The mobility of SAT technicians can also be supported by our own SEIDOR CS Mobile solution, which provides this functionality to the ERP system.
