SAP Quality Awards: what is the “Rapid Time to Value” category?

In the business world, the speed with which a project generates value is crucial to the success of the enterprise. That is why the SAP Quality Awards include the Rapid Time to Value category, which recognizes implementations of business solutions that achieve a return on investment in a short timeframe, ensuring efficiency and process optimization from the earliest stages.

The project carried out by HT SEIDOR for the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC), a well-known foundation with a major international research mission, was awarded for the speed with which it improved efficiency and generated concrete impact, highlighting our ability to guide client companies toward digital transformation in a fast, efficient and strategic way.

The HT SEIDOR project for CMCC: SAP S/4HANA at the heart of innovation

Established in 2005 with the financial support of the Ministry of Education, University and Research and the Ministry of Environment and Land and Sea Protection, the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) Foundation is an international research organization that collaborates with experts in various fields to analyze the impact of climate change on socio-economic systems. In particular, CMCC is dedicated to producing scientific studies and solutions that contribute to the understanding and management of climate change, an issue that necessarily requires the availability of powerful, efficient and integrated management systems.

HT SEIDOR worked closely with CMCC to implement SAP S/4HANA on a private cloud, covering all major business areas-Finance, Treasury, Controlling, Purchasing, Sales, and Business Intelligence. This state-of-the-art ERP solution enabled the reorganization and optimization of business processes, generating significant benefits in terms of information management and workflows.

One of the innovative features of the project was also the adoption of SAP Analytics Cloud Reporting and Planning (SAC), which facilitated more flexible data management and a deeper view of information. Indeed, CMCC had several specific business needs, including the need for a single source of information, the adoption of best practices for process governance, and greater integration between departments-all of these challenges were successfully addressed through the implementation of the powerful SAP S/4HANA platform.

Challenges and solutions

Priority to the implementation of SAP S/4HANA, CMCC was dealing with a fragmented situation with five separate application systems: information management was therefore extremely complex and characterized by high redundancy.

The project structured by HT SEIDOR addressed these issues by implementing a unified platform that enabled the reengineering of business processes and improved integration between different business functions. As a result of this transformation, CMCC was able to streamline its operations and improve the quality of work, while simultaneously reducing the time needed to achieve concrete results.

The key strategic criteria that led to the success of the project were essentially three:

SAP S/4HANA HT 4-Service solution: a preconfigured solution that integrates SAP best practices with HT SEIDOR's experience over more than thirty-five years.

Integrated approach: which included business consulting to build a reliable control model.

SAP Activate methodology: which enabled rapid implementation with an approach based on predefined templates and procedures, optimizing processes and reducing implementation time.

Throughout the project, the agile approach adopted by HT SEIDOR also allowed us to constantly monitor progress and adapt the implementation strategy according to emerging needs. An extensive and highly competent team, consisting of both CMCC members and our own company, worked daily to meet the challenges of the project and ensure full compliance with the agreed timelines.

A recognition of innovation: the SAP Quality Awards 2024

Now, earning the SAP Quality Awards 2024 for the Rapid Time to Value category recognizes the commitment and effectiveness of HT SEIDOR's approach to guiding companies through digital transformation and, more specifically, the success of leveraging the innovative technologies offered by SAP to improve internal efficiency and accelerate time-to-value for the CMCC client.

What's more, in addition to optimizing CMCC's internal processes, the project quickly made the organization more efficient and ready to meet future challenges.

The SAP Quality Award 2024 was presented on October 17, 2024 at the final ceremony of the SAP NOW 2024 event in Milan, Italy, further confirming HT SEIDOR's leadership in technology innovation.
