30 September 2022 - SEIDOR, a consultancy firm for technology services and solutions, has launched its first skills centre in Spain, in Aragon, specializing in Amazon Web Services (AWS), with the aim of championing comprehensive services in this region. With this initiative, SEIDOR solidifies its presence in the region of Aragon, where it has a team of 120 professionals and where it closed out the 2021 fiscal year with a turnover of 15 million euros.
The new AWS Cloud Solutions Skills Centre, which will be located in Zaragoza, will offer solutions to the public and private sector for transforming their services in the cloud based on infrastructure technologies, such as computing, storage and databases, as well as on emerging technologies, such as machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI), data lakes and analytics, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
In the words of Josep Benito, SEIDOR's CEO, "we're at a point in time when cloud computing has taken a leading role in the landscape of new technologies". According to Benito, "SEIDOR needed to strengthen its expertise with AWS to help companies in Aragon meet their IT needs, such as information storage and contracting software solutions in the cloud". For the CEO of SEIDOR, "Aragon is one of the key territories for the company, both for its business fabric and because of the level of access to ICT talent in the area".
Currently, SEIDOR already has an equivalent skills centre in Peru, so the new AWS Cloud Solutions Skills Centre in Zaragoza will allow the two to connect their capabilities to offer solutions for the needs of local companies and customers in the 41 countries where the technology consultancy firm is present.
Young, professional IT talent in Aragon
The new centre is made up of a specialized team of tech talent, which is expected to increase over the next two years to 50 professionals. As a result, SEIDOR is also reinforcing its commitment to the region of Aragon by helping to develop the competitiveness of its economic and business fabric, and by creating talent specializing in the technology of one of the world's leading suppliers, namely AWS.
Against this backdrop, Josep Benito noted that "at SEIDOR, we want this new skills centre to contribute to promoting the business dynamic of Aragon, so that it can, in turn, contribute to the digital transformation of the public and private sector, as well as to the development and attraction of local technological talent".
